Brite Smiles Dental Care Offers Fastbraces

Apple Valley, MN Dental Practice Offers Revolutionary New Orthodontic Technology

Apple Valley, MN – Brite Smiles Dental Care (http://www.britesmilesdentalcare.com) in Apple Valley is now offering Fastbraces® services to their patients in the southern Twin Cities area. Fastbraces is a revolutionary braces and tooth straightening technology that produces final results in about 3-12 months versus up to two years (or more) for traditional braces. Fastbraces has significantly changed the field of orthodontics over the last twenty years.

Brite Smiles Dental Care is one of the few dental practices in the Minneapolis area offering Fastbraces technology.

Practice founder Dr. Dennis Simmons stated “We are proud to now offer Fastbraces, which we feel is an excellent orthodontic option for both adults & children. Fastbraces work differently than traditional braces. Ordinarily, orthodontic devices first move tooth roots & then the portion of the tooth you can see above the gum line in a long, multi-step process that can take up to two years. The unique design of Fastbraces enables us to move those roots & crowns at the same time, drastically reducing treatment time from as long as two years, to 3-12 months. It’s a lot faster, causes less discomfort for the patient, and produces excellent results.”

L.L., a recent Fastbraces patient, stated “Fast Braces really are fast. I had them on for less than 6 months and just got them off in time for my birthday. My friends and my family have been telling me how much prettier my teeth look now that they’re straight. I know that I’ll have less dental problems now that my teeth aren’t crowded and I love my new smile!”

Dr. Dennis Simmons graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1976, receiving the Class Honor in prosthetics – dentures partial and full. Since then he has participated in over 3000 hours of continuing education courses, focusing primarily on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, dental implants and implant-supported restorations, orthodontics, extractions, crown/bridge, root canals, bite and TMJ disorders, and sleep apnea. For his studies, he has been honored with the status of “Diplomate” from the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the International Osseous (bone) Integration Society. American Dental Excellence Offers Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Kenneth Polke, founder of American Dental Excellence in the Denver area (http://americandentalexcellence.com), offers Cosmetic Dentistry including: teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and cosmetic bonding and shaping.
The term “cosmetic dentistry” is usually used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance but not necessarily the function of a person’s teeth. The main focus is on improving the aesthetics of the teeth by changing the color, shape, size, alignment, and overall appearance of the person’s smile.

Cosmetic dentistry includes:
  • Adding material to teeth such as bonding, veneers, or crowns
  • Removing material such as enamel either in preparation for fitting veneers or crowns, or as a final step to change the shape of teeth
  • Procedures which neither add nor remove material- such as teeth whitening
  • Straightening of teeth (braces)

Dr. Polke stated “For cracks and unevenness in tooth enamel; cosmetic bonding and shaping can be used to effectively pave over the cracks and even out the surface of your teeth. If your teeth are chipped, too short, or permanently stained, you can get veneers. A porcelain veneer is basically a very thin, tooth-shaped piece of ceramic, which is used to conceal a damaged tooth. For crooked teeth you can get braces to straighten them out. Strong, healthy teeth are important physically and psychologically. When your natural teeth are showing visible wear and tear, get them repaired and once again eat, talk, and smile with confidence. There are a lot of options for improving your smile, contact a dentist in your area to figure out which procedures will help you get the results you’re looking for.”

Dr. Kenneth J. Polke is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and went on to study dentistry at Case Western University Dental School. Kenneth Polke is also an NFL Alumni, having played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins and as quarterback for the Cleveland Browns! While he still has a passion for football, he chooses to serve the needs of his patients at American Dental Excellence (http://americandentalexcellence.com) (http://denverivsedationdentist.com), which he opened in 1981. Dr. Polke is an active member of many professional associations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiologists, and the International College of Oral Implantologists. Big Trees Inc. To Install Douglas Fir Trees Onto Large Seattle Estate

Big Trees Inc., (http://bigtreesupply.com/) a tree transplant and tree nursery company in the Seattle area, has been contracted to procure, deliver and install a number of 20’-25’ Douglas Fir trees onto a large hillside estate in West Seattle which is being developed over the coming year. The hillside location and large size of the trees make this a challenging task.

The process began when Big Trees was contacted by the landscape architect for the estate. They said there was a need for larger evergreen trees, and the Douglas Fir was chosen as the tree type for the project, based on their size and foliage. The 4 large Douglas Firs were chosen by the client’s representatives out of a field of dozens of candidates, and those trees were set aside for the project. Once all the details were ironed out and agreed upon, the digging of the trees was accomplished, and the first of the four trees was delivered.

A large crane was moved into position to lift and set the tree into a side of the location that was unreachable by all other options for handling. Once the tree was in position and properly set, bags of well-draining topsoil were also lifted to the position and used to backfill the tree’s new location, adding to the necessary drainage potential. The tree was staked and made ready for the significant winds it might encounter from time to time at this location. There are three trees remaining to be brought in at a later date once the project is further along. They are all in the 20’-25’ height range and weigh around 3,000 pounds each.

Nancy Penrose, the owner of Big Trees, had these comments regarding the project: “Our whole staff, from the sales team to the laborers and foreman, all play vital roles in making these kinds of projects come together. There can be a lot of moving parts to manage properly, and if any missteps are made, they can lead to situations that cannot be made whole again. I’m very proud of our team, and we look forward to moving the other three trees into their new home over the coming year.”

Nancy Penrose is the owner of Big Trees Inc. (http://www.bigtreesupply.com), located in Snohomish, WA, in the Seattle area. The company is one of the largest tree nurseries in the Seattle area with over 120,000 trees available in over 300 varieties. They not only can deliver young trees but also mature trees in a wide range of sizes. Some types of trees available include spring flowering, deciduous, evergreen, and privacy trees. The company also does tree transplanting including large trees. Their blog can be seen at http://www.bigtreesupply.com/blog/

JulianConstruction.com: House Leveling Tips

By Julian De La Torre

At some point, your home’s foundation may need to be repaired. Houses settle over time, causing floors to slope and many other problems. Having trouble opening and closing windows? Your foundation may have settled too far into the soil, or settled unevenly.

Other signs include wall cracks, sticking doors, floor bumps or squeaky floors or a house that looks “uneven” from the outside. Walls can start to bow or lean, and gaps can appear around doors and windows.

Settlement can be caused by more than just the age of the house. Sometimes homes are built on soil that hasn’t been compacted properly. Soil can also get wet, causing it to expand. When it dries, it will shrink. Excessive settlement can occur in both cases, which can further damage a foundation. Your foundation can also be harmed by poor drainage and plumbing leaks.

When a floor is sloping, it can eventually slide off the foundation, especially during an earthquake.

A foundation repair expert is the best person to talk to about foundation issues, especially if you are seeing signs of settlement. There are many ways to repair a foundation. An experienced foundation expert will inspect your property to determine what is causing the situation and can fix any problems.

House leveling is one of the most popular methods of foundation repair. The leveling begins by inserting beams under your home that are supported by hydraulic jacks. Different sizes of jacks will be used to slowly raise the foundation. After the house has been leveled, piers are added to maintain the new height of the floors. The piers are placed directly into the soil for added support.

During the process, any damaged or rotten beams will need to be removed.

Helical piers are typically used to level a house. They can be used in all types of soil, are quickly installed and will have a minimal impact on your landscape. They can also be used in places where there is a high water table.

An important part of house leveling is knowing where to lift the house. Also keep in mind that raising the floor will usually create quite a bit of noise. Many times it is better to level the house over a period of days or weeks, raising it a few inches at a time. This will help prevent drywall and plaster from cracking. The home’s size and weight will also determine how long the project takes.

If house leveling isn’t done right, it can cause additional damage to your home. The structure of the house can weaken, windows will start breaking and large cracks can appear.

House leveling can help you avoid a complement foundation replacement, which can be expensive.

The best way to prevent costly repairs is to stay alert to problems and get them fixed as soon as possible. Ask a foundation contractor or house leveling contractors to check your home for foundation damage at least once a year. Get a thorough inspection both inside and out. Taking quick action on any issues can minimize repair expenses and keep you and your family safe.

Julian De La Torre, expert in Los Angeles foundation inspection, repair & house leveling (Los Angeles) and founder of Julian Construction (http://www.julianconstruction.com) in Los Angeles, has inspected over 15,000 structures, working with engineering firms & local departments of building & safety. The company has done more home foundation repair (Los Angeles) than any other company in the area over the last five years (http://julianconstruction.com/about/ ). Julian Construction owns its own company and is a "no middlemen" model--no salesmen or subcontractors--you get the principals of the company & its workers under your home. BigTreeSupply.com: Creating a Hedge with Arborvitae

By Nancy Penrose

Hedges are a natural way to create privacy on your property. They can also reduce street noise, wind and snow.

Arborvitae is one of the best trees for creating a hedge. They can grow up to 60 feet tall, with a width of from 2 to 15 feet.

This North American native tree has year-round thick, dark green foliage. The tree’s leaves, which were once used as a cure for rheumatism, have a scale-like appearance.
Types of arborvitae include the eastern arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis), the emerald green arborvitae and golden globe arborvitae.
Emerald green arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis "Emerald Green") grows up to 15 feet tall with a width of 3 to 4 feet. The tree is extremely hardy and can be found in abundance throughout the Pacific Northwest. It is one of the most popular fast growing privacy trees for screens and hedges.
The dark green tree has a somewhat round shape. Without pruning, the tree will grow tall with a cylindrical shape. The tree will be bushier when pruned. Use preventative spraying to prevent spider mite infestations. Once the tree has been established, it will grow approximately 6 to 9 inches a year.

The arborvitae grows well in full sun, but can also tolerate some shade. The tree does best in mostly well-drained soil. They grow fairly easily, some faster than others.

When using arborvitae for a hedge, make sure they have enough space to grow. If you plant them too close to each other, they will compete for soil minerals and nutrients.

Recently planted trees should be watered for the first year or two. During a hot summer, use a soaker hose or drip system on a timer to deep soak the tree every day for 15 minutes or so. Mulching will help the tree retain moisture. Once the tree matures, it will no longer require watering.

In order to maintain its shape, the arborvitae will sometimes need a pruning. Remove any dead growth and cut back branches as needed. Remove any dead foliage that has built up inside the tree, especially near the bottom. Be careful not to over-prune or ruin any pointed tops.

You can prune the tree in the fall or winter. However, a spring pruning is usually recommended to ensure the tree heals and continues to grow. If the tree is pruned in the summer, the tips of the branches can turn brown.

The arborvitae can live up to 150 years. In colder climates, covering the tree with burlap can protect it from the elements and prevent foraging. Another option is netting, which prevents mold by allowing air to circulate. The best netting is a heavy duty, multi-strand mesh. In addition to UV protection, the green color of the netting will blend in with the tree.

If you do not cover your trees, remove any snow from the branches to prevent breakage.

Thinking about putting a hedge on your property? A big trees (Snohomish) expert can help you design the hedge and ensure you select the right trees for your environment. You’ll also get advice on how to maintain the hedge and keep your trees healthy.

Nancy Penrose is owner of Big Trees Inc. Big Trees Inc. will be Relocating Rare Trees in Seattle Arboretum

Big Trees Inc., (http://bigtreesupply.com/), a tree transplant and tree nursery company in the Seattle area, has been asked to return to the Washington Park Arboretum and tend to a number of trees at the park. The trees are in the path of future trail enhancements that will bring better movability through the park for all those who use it every day. Once relocated, the trees from the numerous collections will continue to thrive and enhance the beauty of the park.

The trees have been previously root pruned by the staff of Big Trees Inc., and are now ready to be moved to new, permanent locations. Some of these trees have trunks measuring 6 to 8 inches in diameter, and will weigh around 6,000 to 8,000 pounds each once they are prepared for transport. The crews will go back in and re-package the trees, establish the best routes through the park for transport, and get the trees replanted where they won’t be impacted by the trail expansions.

Many of these trees are from different regions of the world and are very rare in the Northwest region. While many people appreciate the Arboretum for its peace and serenity, it can be like quite a trip around the world to take in so many large trees of uncommon varieties once you realize how much there is to appreciate. The Arboretum takes a lot of pride in maintaining this collection for everyone who comes to walk the trails, and each tree throughout the many acres is tagged and noted with its species and characteristics.

Nancy Penrose, owner of Big Trees says, “It’s always a pleasure to know that we have contributed to the environment of the Arboretum, and it’s an honor to have them trust us with their special trees under these circumstances. We have a good relationship there, and we’re looking forward to another successful project.”

AmericanDentalExcellence.com: Braces Fast & Easy

By Dr. Kenneth J. Polke

Crooked teeth are typically straightened and aligned with braces. A braces device puts pressure on teeth, forcing them to move into the right position.

Teeth need to be realigned when there is crowding, spacing, a crossbite, over bite, open bite or high canines.
Crowding, which causes overlapping of teeth, can happen when there is not enough room in the mouth for teeth that are coming in. The lack of space will prevent teeth from fitting properly in the jaw. Left untreated, the overlapping can lead to plaque buildup, tooth decay and even periodontal disease.

Excessive spacing between teeth can by caused by tooth loss or extractions, as well as a difference in the size of the teeth compared to the jaw. Gaps between teeth can also be caused by small teeth, impacted teeth and protruding teeth.
Too much space between teeth can lead to gum issues, improperly functioning teeth and a less attractive smile.

A crossbite is typically the result of a misalignment between upper and lower teeth or jaws. Crossbites can involve one or many teeth. A common type of crossbite is when upper teeth biting inside of or behind lower teeth.

An overbite is when upper teeth extend over lower teeth. The overbite is typically caused by a jaw that grows unevenly. Overbites can lead to excessive wear on lower teeth, gum irritation and jaw problems.

Open bites occur when upper teeth cannot make contact with their lower, opposing teeth. Open bites can result in jaw problems, speech impairment and chewing difficulties.
Canine teeth, also known as cuspids, have a pointed edge. They are strong teeth used for grabbing and holding on to food. When canines are too high, they can cause gum inflammation and gum-related problems.
Repositioning and aligning teeth with traditional braces can take up to 2 years. The expensive procedure uses numerous wires and often changes a person’s natural bite. Pain during the process is not uncommon.
With Fastbraces, a breakthrough dental technology, repositioning teeth can take weeks or months instead of years. It’s a completely safe and affordable alternative for patients.

Fastbraces are triangular, not square-shaped like traditional braces. This increases the space between each brace. With more distance, the movement of teeth occurs at a faster rate. Only one wire is needed and extractions are rarely necessary.

During your initial consultation, photos will be taken of your teeth. A customized plan will be created to address any misalignment issues.

After the braces have been put on, the tooth root will immediately begin to move. The pain that commonly occurs with traditional braces will be significantly reduced. Many times retainers will only need to be worn approximately 15 to 20 minutes a day. You’ll also see fast results.

Fastbraces will preserve your natural bite and prevent oral health problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. Once the braces are removed, the treatment is complete and you’ll be enjoying a beautiful smile for the rest of your life.

American Dental Excellence Offers Same-Day Crowns

WESTMINSTER, CO: Dr. Kenneth Polke, founder of American Dental Excellence in the Denver area, (http://americandentalexcellence.com), offers same-day crowns which can be completed in one visit (about an hour), without requiring any follow-up visits or adjustments.

If a tooth becomes very badly decayed or damaged, it might need a crown or cap installed. The crown returns the tooth to its original functionality and appearance. Crowns are custom made and cover the whole tooth starting at the gum line.

Dr. Polke stated “Dental crowns used to require two or three trips to the dentist, a temporary crown, uncomfortable procedures, and a one to three week waiting period while your permanent crown was being made. Now, due to innovations in technology, you can have a custom crown made for you in a single visit without dental impressions, temporary crowns, or waiting for weeks to get your finished crown. We will start by preparing the tooth for the crown, the same way you would for a traditional crown, by numbing the area, removing decay, and shaping the tooth to fit inside the crown. Then instead of a messy tray of impression material, your tooth is dusted with a reflective powder and we will take pictures of the tooth with a special camera which uses light reflected from the powder to create a 3D image of the prepared tooth. The image is transferred to a computer and becomes the basis for your crown design.”

“We can adjust the details on the crown as needed before sending it to a milling machine (a specialty 3D carving “printer”) which carves your cap from a ceramic block in a shade that is the closest match to your natural tooth color. In about five minutes the cap is ready for additional coloring if needed and then it can be installed and bonded to the old tooth. The entire process can be done while you wait, usually in less than an hour,” concluded Dr. Polke.

Should You Replace or Repair Your Foundation?

Los Angeles Foundation Contractor Gives Tips on Deciding to Repair or Replace

LOS ANGELES, CA: Julian Construction Inc., (http://julianconstruction.com/), a foundation construction and foundation repair company in Southern California, shares information on foundation problems and gives tips on deciding between repairable damage and foundations needing replacement.

Julian De La Torre, founder of Julian Construction, stated “It is important to note that in homes where the owners neglected signs of foundation problems, they are more likely to need full foundation replacement later on. Homes which have undergone needed foundation repairs have most often avoided needing full foundation replacement.”

“Replacing a foundation can be a complicated and involved process depending on the size of the structure, its location and the extent of the damage. Whenever possible, it is preferable to repair foundation damage instead of replacing the whole foundation. Repair is not always possible if the damage has gone unchecked for a long time and become extensive.”

Fully understanding the cause of your foundation problem is the first step. There are many reasons why foundations fail. Bad design, poor soil conditions and moisture issues are some of the more common causes of foundation instability and collapse.

De La Tore stated “Examples of an improperly designed foundation include inadequate support and reinforcement, cement that hasn’t been cured correctly and a foundation that is too thin. Poor soil conditions typically involve soil that expands when wet and contracts when dry. Plumbing leaks and inadequate drainage can also create havoc with a foundation. Whether the problem is design, soil or moisture, the result will be foundation settlement. Indicators of settlement include wall cracks and sloping floors, as well as doors and windows that won’t open or close properly.”

“Replacing a foundation is a worst-case scenario when it comes to foundation damage. Regular home inspections will often uncover foundation problems before they become serious. Correcting these issues early-on can save you the time and expense of a full foundation replacement. If you have any concerns about your current foundation, contact a knowledgeable foundation contractor and request a free inspection. The sooner you start any necessary repairs, the better.”

“It is a positive thing to know that with these different foundation problems, each has a different way of recognizing it. When you know that, you can be more alert to the problem, and you are more knowledgeable when it occurs as to what is happening. You know when a problem is serious or not, because different cracks will tell you what kind of foundation problem you are looking at. And a trained foundation specialist will be able to spot the source of the problem right away so it can be completely handled,” concluded De La Torre.

Julian Construction owns its own company and is built on a “no middlemen” model – no salesmen, no subcontractors. When you work with Julian Construction you get the principals of the company and workers of Julian Construction under your home. The result is the highest quality work at affordable prices. Cold Weather, Foundation Problems, and You

Julian Construction (http://www.julianconstruction.com), a foundation repair and construction company in Los Angeles, explains some of the home foundation problems that can arise from cold weather, and what you can do about it.

There are a number of foundation problems that can crop up when the mercury dips. Here are a few you can look out for to help prevent problems from forming and recognize any that already have.

Julian De La Torre, founder of Julian Construction, stated “Cold weather can cause your foundation to crack, even if the temperature is above freezing. Damage can be caused by temperatures as high as 40 degrees if it stays that cold for three or more days. Cracks in your home’s foundation can let water in, and water is the most damaging element to a foundation. If moisture gets into your foundation it can cause more cracks and many other types of damage.”

“Winter rains will also cause the soil to expand. The expansion underneath your foundation can propel a foundation upwards, which is called heave. If your home is built on soil that retains a lot of water, the damage that soil expansion can cause to your home can be extensive. If frost develops in the soil, it will increase its volume, which can also heave the foundation. When the frost thaws, suction is created that draws in more water. Constant freezing and thawing creates uneven foundation pressure as well as foundation shifts.”

“Take a walk around your house and check for cracks in drywall, cracking and or peeling paint and wallpaper, gaps between floors and walls, gaps in door or window frames, and doors that are sagging and sticking in their frames. If you find any of the above you should schedule an appointment with a foundation repair specialist to check for foundation issues that could lead to trouble.”

“It is a positive thing to know that with these different foundation problems, each has a different way to recognize it.

American Dental Excellence Offers Same-Day Dentures

WESTMINSTER, CO: Dr. Kenneth Polke, (http://americandentalexcellence.com), founder of American Dental Excellence in Westminster, CO, in the Denver area, offers the Larell One Step Denture which can be completed in one visit (about an hour), without any follow-up visits or adjustments.

Most dentures have been made the same way for about a hundred years with little change. It used to take four or five visits to the dentist and then more visits for adjustments. They were an expensive but necessary solution for many dental patients. Over 37 million people in the US currently wear dentures and that number increases by 2-3 million every year.

Stock dentures have a poor fit and can be loose and uncomfortable. You don’t want to have to worry about your teeth or have them causing you embarrassment. With same-day dentures you can have a complete, custom-fit denture made for you in one visit without any follow-up visits or further adjustments. One step dentures are great for people who need dentures but can’t afford the high cost or long wait of traditional dentures.

Dr. Polke stated “The Larell One Step Dentures are a viable, high quality, affordable, and fast solution for people who need dentures. It eliminates the high cost and long wait. We are pleased to be offering this to patients in the Denver area.”

Dr. Kenneth J. Polke is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and went on to study dentistry at Case Western University Dental School. AmericanDentalExcellence.com: Saving Time With Same-day Crowns

By Dr. Kenneth J. Polke

When a tooth has become damaged or decayed, it may need to be crowned or “capped.” The cap restores the original appearance and functionality of the tooth.

Dental caps are extremely durable and made with a custom fit that covers the entire tooth beginning at the gum line.

In the past, the process required at least two trips (sometimes three) to the dentist, uncomfortable alignment impressions, a temporary crown and waiting from one to three weeks for a lab to make the permanent crown.

A new innovation in digital technology now makes same-day dental crowns possible. The entire procedure is completed in one time-saving visit using a camera, computer and milling machine incorporated into one instrument. This advancement in restorative dentistry eliminates the need for alignment impressions, temporary crowns or the use of an outside lab to construct the crown.

The process starts the same way as traditional crowns, by preparing the tooth for the cap. First, the area is numbed and the damaged tooth is drilled to get rid of any decay and to shape it for the crown. This makes sure the crown will fit perfectly when placed over the damaged tooth.

Instead of taking an impression of the area using a putty-like substance (the procedure for traditional crowns), your teeth are lightly dusted with reflective powder. Then, a wand with a built-in small camera that is attached to the computer takes a picture of the area. The camera uses reflected light from the powder to create a three-dimensional image of the drilled tooth and adjoining teeth.

The image is then electronically transferred onto a computer screen. Special Computer Aided Design (CAD) software creates the cap design from the image. All the details are included in the design, from size and shape to indentations and ridges. The software also allows for easy modification of the design as needed. You can even create a mirror-image of the same non-damaged tooth on the other side of your mouth.

The final cap design is sent to the milling machine with a single mouse click. The machine sculpts the cap from a tiny ceramic block that is the closest match to the natural color of your teeth. The carving process takes about five minutes.

The appearance of the cap can be further enhanced with quick-drying stain and glaze. The stain and glaze are painted on to the crown using tiny brushes. After the additional coloring has been completed, the finished crown is placed in your mouth and bonded to the old tooth.

The entire process can be completed while you wait, usually within an hour.

Just like traditional caps, same-day dental caps are extremely durable and will have a natural looking appearance. They are maintained just like your own teeth – with daily brushing and flossing, which will help reduce dental plaque build-up. If you grind your teeth at night, make sure you wear a nightguard.

Same-day caps will not only save you time in the dental chair, you’ll be able to quickly and easily restore your beautiful smile.

BigTreeSupply.com: The Stately Cypress Tree

by Nancy Penrose

Cypress, including both trees and shrubs, are members of the Cupressaceae family. These arborvitae trees are native to North America and can be found in other parts of the world as well.

Cypress trees can grow up to 80 feet tall. The trunk of the tree is straight with a tapered base.

The tree’s foliage ranges in color from light green to dark green. Its short needles typically turn brown during the winter. There are also a few varieties whose needles will turn yellow or gold during the fall. Some trees have appendages that look like hair braids stuck to twigs.

Cypress trees can have a spread of up to 30 feet, and it often has a feather-like appearance. Tree shape can vary, from the umbrella-looking Monterrey cypress to the triangular-shaped Arizona cypress.

Cypress will produce small cones up to two inches wide that contain approximately 30 seeds. They generally do well in places with there is an abundance of water.

U.S. Cypress trees include the Leyland cypress, Arizona cypress, bald cypress and Italian cypress.

The Leyland cypress grows extremely fast and tall. The tree’s branches are flat with soft pine needles.

Leyland cypress can grow in many different types of soil. It is a popular landscaping tree and fast growing privacy tree used for privacy fences, hedges and screens. The tree likes as much sun as possible. It can survive near the ocean and in areas where there is a significant amount of pollution.

The Arizona Cypress, which can be found throughout the southwestern region, does best in hot and dry environments. It can grow up to 80 feet tall, with gray-green to blue-green foliage. The tree has scaly leaves and seed cones that open after the tree has been killed by fire.

Bald Cypress is a deciduous tree that can be found in coastal areas where the soil is extremely moist. They can live for many centuries and grow extremely tall. The tree’s bark ranges in color from grayish brown to reddish brown.

The majestic Italian cypress is also tall and can be found in warmer climates. Italian cypress can live for hundreds of years. The tree has dark green foliage with scaly seed cones.

There are also non-native cypress trees that grow well in the U.S., such as the Slender Hinoki cypress. The Slender Hinoki cypress can be found in many Pacific Northwest nurseries. It is an ornamental tree with open, arching branches and a pyramid shape. In the spring, new needle growth has a reddish color.

The cypress tree’s wood is both lightweight and durable. It has been used to build chests, boxes, cabinets, bed frames and boats, as well as roof shingles and siding.

Cypress wood also makes excellent firewood.

Cypress trees are a great choice for landscapes. If you are planning on buying a cypress, speak with a big trees (Snohomish) expert or nursery with large trees for sale to find out which varieties will grow best in your environment, and how to maintain your tree’s health and vitality throughout the years.

Julian Construction Offers Soft-Story Retrofitting in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Makes Soft Story Retrofitting Mandatory for Wood-Frame Structures

LOS ANGELES, CA: Julian Construction, Inc., (http://www.julianconstruction.com/), a foundation construction and foundation repair company in the Los Angeles area, is now offering soft-story building retrofitting, which is now mandatory for wood-frame soft story buildings within the city of Los Angeles.

A soft-story building is a multi-story structure where the ground floor has unsupported floors above it, due to a wide front window or other wide section of the second floor with no supporting beam under it. The most common type of soft-story building is an apartment building built with the second story over an open parking area. Other types include retail businesses with large windows, as well as multi-level commercial structures with floors that have large spaces, windows and doors. Soft-story buildings are much more likely to collapse during an earthquake, and so are especially dangerous in areas of high seismic activity like Los Angeles.

The City of Los Angeles recently passed an Ordinance requiring the retrofit of all wood-frame Soft-Story buildings

If you own a soft-story building- especially an older wood-frame building, contact a local construction company to schedule an inspection consultation. The structural stability of your building and the safety of its occupants and users is extremely important, especially in areas of high seismic activity like Los Angeles.

Julian De La Torre, founder and owner of Julian Construction, stated: “No two soft-story retrofitting projects are the same and so there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Ideally, we consider several factors to determine the best way to approach the project to get the building to meet the structural standards of retrofitted soft-story buildings, while also having a minimal impact on the function and use of the building. We see these kinds of soft story buildings every day. Fortunately much more is known about the risks involved with this type of design now, so buildings today are built much more securely. But with older buildings, it is important to know the risks involved with soft story structural issues.”

Julian Construction owns its own company and is built on a “no middlemen” model – no salesmen, no subcontractors. When you work with Julian Construction you get the principals of the company and workers of Julian Construction under your home. The result is the highest quality work at affordable prices. JulianConstruction.com: Bolting Mudsills to a Cement Foundation

By Julian De La Torre

Do you know if your house is bolted to the foundation? Bolting is a type of seismic retrofitting that secures a home’s mudsill to its concrete foundation. Mudsill is the horizontal wood that sits on top of the foundation. It is the bottom of an exterior wall that connects the frame of the house to the footing.

Mudsills that aren’t connected to the foundation (or poorly connected) will start to move during a quake, along with the walls they are attached to. This motion can cause gas lines to break and electrical wires to pull out. Floors can also be damaged. If the shaking is severe, the entire building may end up collapsing.

When the mudsill is properly bolted to the concrete, it prevents the home from slipping and sliding during seismic activity.

Bolting a home to its foundation became a Uniform Building Code requirement in 1949. However, it took almost 10 years for local government to implement the code. Consequently, most homes built before 1960 have not been bolted to their foundations. Without bolting, an earthquake can shake the home off of its foundation.

You can check to see if your home’s mudsill has been bolted by going into your crawl space or basement and looking for thick bolts across the top of the sill. You should see bolts every 4 to 6 feet. There should also be steel anchor plates connecting the edge of the sill to the foundation’s side.

If you find any rusted bolts, they will need to be replaced. Rusted bolts are more common in moisture-prone areas.

Also look for recessed bolts. When the foundation is poured and bolts aren’t sticking up high enough, the mudsill around the bolt needs to be chiseled to get the nut on. This can make it difficult to tighten the nuts and virtually impossible for any anchor plates to be installed. Recessed bolts should be replaced.

An important point regarding bolting is the depth of penetration into the concrete. There are minimum and standard depth requirements depending on the type of anchor bolts being used.

Replacing bolts can be difficult because of the tight space. A foundation repair expert will know which bolts need to be replaced in addition to having all of the tools that will be needed to get the job done right.

Bolting is only one part of the retrofitting process. Even homes that are bolted can suffer severe damage from a quake if the cripple walls haven’t been braced properly. The cripple wall is the short wall between the first floor and the foundation. Cripple walls need reinforcement with sturdy materials like plywood. Stucco and wood siding does not provide enough support for the walls.

The best way to find out if your home is properly bolted, is to contact a foundation contractor, a specialist in this area, and ask for a free inspection. Getting help from a foundation repair (Los Angeles) expert will save you time, money and potential damage from the next big quake.

Julian De La Torre, expert in Los Angeles foundation inspection, repair & house bolting (Los Angeles) and founder of Julian Construction (http://www.julianconstruction.com) in Los Angeles, has inspected over 15,000 structures, working with engineering firms & local departments of building & safety. Recognizing Signs of Roof Damage

Los Angeles Contractor Shares Warning Signs of Roof Damage and What You Can Do About It.

Julian Construction (http://www.julianconstruction.com) a foundation repair and construction company in Los Angeles, has compiled a checklist that you can use to tell if you have any roof damage issues. If you notice any of the items mentioned, you should contact a roofing contractor to schedule an inspection.
Cold weather brings with it an increase in risk factors for roof damage including; rain, falling leaves, and freezing temperatures. The maintenance and regular inspection of your roof will help protect against roof leaks and their effects, such as dry rot and mold.
Keep an eye out for these warning signs:
  • Missing, loose, or warped roof tiles or shingles which leave the underlying roof materials exposed and prone to damage
  • Leaks around chimneys, skylights, or air vents, which can be an indication of damaged or improperly installed flashing.
  • Clogged gutters which can cause water damage from overflow
  • Roof leaks are especially serious and should be immediately addressed to prevent dry rot and mold.
If you notice any of the above signs of roof damage, call a qualified construction company near you to perform roof inspections and whatever type of roof repair you may need. Don’t worry if the weather has already gotten overcast and rainy, roofs can be repaired or replaced at any time, even in wet weather.

Julian De La Torre of Julian Construction, stated: “Having your roof regularly inspected by a professional contractor is an important part of the home maintenance process. When roof problems are detected early, not only will the repairs usually be less costly, it can help prevent other types of damage to your home. Roof repairs can be done very easily at any time of the year when overseen by a competent construction company.”

Big Trees Inc. will be Landscaping New Project in Downtown Bellevue

SNOHOMISH, WA: Big Trees Inc. (http://bigtreesupply.com/), a tree transplant and tree nursery company in the Seattle area, has been asked to assist with the landscaping efforts at a significant property being developed in downtown Bellevue. The project involves adding some very tall evergreen trees to the North side of a multi-level parking garage to soften its appearance for the neighbors, as well as adding larger trees to the top levels of the same garage.

A significant number of Fir trees will be integrated into two planting beds on the North side of this garage, most as large as 20’-25’ tall. These trees will add organic motion and distraction from what would otherwise be a large, stark wall with no detail. The trees will be delivered by large trucks and trailers, unloaded by crane to a higher level planter, and handled by an all-terrain forklift to finally meet their planting locations.

There are a number of other Pines and Cedars being taken to the top floor of the parking garage and installed in raised planting beds. These trees will also add to the aesthetic and overall liveliness of this upper level garage layout. It is a bit of a challenge to get these trees to their planting areas as well, as they are quite large to be trafficking up the winding access way through a modern parking garage layout, especially considering all of the ongoing construction activities.

Nancy Penrose, owner of Big Trees, remarks, “It’s a pretty significant project considering the size of trees we are working with, and the limitations of access to get them to their planting locations. Our teamwork with the construction project engineers is pretty key in situations like this, as there are always so many moving parts to contend with. We’re all looking forward to seeing these trees grow up even more over the coming decades.”

BigTreeSupply.com: The Exquisite Tibetan Cherry Tree

by Nancy Penrose

Ornamental trees are used in landscaping to add color and interest. They are referred to as “ornamental trees” because of their decorative purpose. Many trees are called ornamental in reference to their blooms. There are also trees like the Tibetan Cherry, one of the flowering cherry trees that are admired because of the beauty of their bark.
The sturdy Tibetan Cherry (Prunus serrula), also called the paperbark cherry and birch bark cherry, is a deciduous tree with bark that has a glossy, mahogany appearance. The bark peels in translucent reddish-brown and amber colored sheets, revealing a new mahogany layer. In direct sun, the tree’s skin has a rich polished copper and bronze appearance.

Beneath the peal is a new layer of smooth mahogany bark. The crown of the tree is wide and somewhat round.

The Tibetan cherry is one of the small to medium-sized flowering trees with narrow, willow-type leaves that have an oval-like shape and are approximately 3-4 inches in length. The leaves are a deep medium to dark green. In autumn they turn a rich yellow and then fall away. In winter, the tree’s bark is stunning.

The tree blooms in late April with small white flowers. The blooms, which are often hidden in the foliage, attract bees.

The tree’s cherries are non-edible and about a half inch long. They turn bright white when ripe.
Tibetan cherry trees grow best in full sun and fertile, moist loamy soil. They do well in gardens and parks, as well as urban areas due to their pollution tolerance. When grown in ideal conditions, the tree can reach heights of 25 feet or more.

It is a fast growing privacy tree and the faster the tree grows, the more frequently it will shed its bark. Peeling the bark yourself can reduce the number of shedding periods. You can brighten up the bark with water and a sponge.

Because the tree’s leaves are not very thick, many different types of shade-tolerant foliage can be planted around it.

Tibetan cherry trees require very little pruning aside from the occasional removal of damaged or dead branches. The best time to prune the tree is after it has bloomed.

The tree is a native to the Szechwan province in Western China. It was introduced in Europe by well-known British plant collector Ernest Henry “Chinese” Wilson in 1908. Wilson has been credited with introducing nearly 2,000 Asian plant species to the Western world.

When selecting big trees for your landscape, choosing the right mix is important. Some trees may have a practical purpose such as providing shade or acting as privacy trees, while others will enhance the landscape’s appearance. In either case, the trees must also be suitable for the environment. This means factors such as space, weather and soil conditions will also need to be taken into consideration.

A big trees expert or tree nurserys arborist can help you find the best trees for your landscape - foliage that can easily grow and thrive in your location (tree nursery Snohomish/Seattle area). You will also get important tips and advice on how to maintain your trees, transplanting trees, and how to keep them healthy for years to come.

How to Tell If Your Foundation is in Need of Repairs

Los Angeles Foundation Contractor shares warning signs of foundation damage

Julian Construction (http://www.julianconstruction.com) a foundation repair and construction company in Los Angeles, has compiled a checklist that you can use to walk around your house with, to tell if you have any foundation damage issues. If you notice any of the items mentioned, you should contact a foundation contractor to schedule an inspection.
As a homeowner, it can be difficult to tell when something is wrong with your foundation, especially since the early warning signs can be subtle. However, a damaged foundation is very dangerous and it is important to have it inspected regularly to catch and repair damage before it has a chance to get worse.
  • Doors and windows that have shifted and don’t open and close properly. This can be a sign that your foundation has settled.
  • Cracks on the outside of your home- especially diagonal ones. If they are small it could be a cosmetic issue, but large cracks are often a sign of a larger problem.
  • Nails that have popped out from the wall, indicating that the drywall may be bowing inward or outward.
  • Sloping floors. If the floor is gradually sloping less than an inch across the whole foundation, it might not be an issue. However, if your floor has a height difference of more than an inch over 15-20 feet, it is more likely the foundation settling or shifting.
  • Gaps between the caulking on windows and doors. This is usually caused by the foundation shifting.
  • Patios that have pulled away from your home. This is a sure sign of a shifting or sinking foundation.
Wallpaper that has wrinkled or creased. This can be caused by a sinking or shifting foundation, which in turn, causes the walls to shift.
  • Sunken floors or foundation. If you notice the ground around your foundation sinking, you could have a big foundation issue on your hands, call for an inspection right away.
If you encounter any of the above problems, you don’t necessarily need to replace your foundation. It is often possible to repair smaller issues and cracks with a strap, epoxy injection or a pad known as an underpin, halting the damage and strengthening your foundation for a safer home.
Julian De La Torre, founder and owner of Julian Construction, stated: “Keeping your home’s foundation in good repair is so important, it’s the first thing we look at when we go to a home with structural problems. And maintaining the foundation will prevent more serious problems from occurring in the future. Always get your home inspected on a regular basis. It’s important for the safety of your home.”
Julian Construction owns its own company and is built on a “no middlemen” model – no salesmen, no subcontractors. When you work with Julian Construction you get the principals of the company and workers of Julian Construction under your home. The result is the highest quality work at affordable prices. Julian Construction Warns of the Dangers Of Poor Drainage and Cold, Wet Weather

Drainage Problems, Mold, and Foundation Cracks- Are You At Risk?

Julian Construction (http://www.julianconstruction.com) a foundation repair and construction company in Los Angeles, is warning the public of some of the home foundation problems that can arise from wet weather, and what you can do about it.
As the weather gets cooler and wetter, the risk for indoor mold and foundation cracking increases. The maintenance and installation of proper drainage systems surrounding your home provide a safeguard against the effects of water accumulation and flooding during the rainy season.

Be on the look-out for signs of drainage problems, as a potential threat to the foundation of your home. There is a list below of indicators of drainage problems. If you encounter any of them on your property, contact an experienced foundation contractor near you for help resolving the issues.

 Water pooling in a yard
 Rainwater accumulating on a rooftop
 Moisture seeping into a house
 Foundation cracks
 Mold, mildew, or a damp musty smell

In addition to water damage that can be caused by any of the above problems (including drywall damage, mold, and mildew), foundation damage can also occur if the problem is not corrected early enough. When water seeps into the soil underneath a foundation, it can cause the soil to expand and lift the foundation, resulting in foundation cracks. When the soil dries, the foundation will settle.

Constant expansion and contraction will increase and worsen structural damage. Water can also create foundation cracks and make any existing fissures larger.

A qualified construction company can install a drainage system to avoid mold and foundation problems from poor drainage.

Julian De La Torre, founder and owner of Julian Construction, stated: “It’s vital to make sure that water is being drained away from your home properly. If it is not draining properly, and is pooling near the house, you are at risk of foundation damage. If you suspect you have a problem, get an experienced foundation expert out to inspect your home.”

JulianConstruction.com: Common Types of Anchor Bolts Used in House Bolting

By Julian De La Torre

Over the years we have learned the effect seismic activity has on a building and how to minimize the impact of a quake.

Earthquakes can cause a building to slide, shift off of its foundation and overturn. They can also buckle cripple walls, causing them to collapse.

House bolting is also called foundation bolting, anchor bolting, or seismic retrofitting. The purpose of house bolting is to make the structure safer and prevent damage during an earthquake. The bolts strengthen the wood frame by connecting it securely to the foundation. The two types of bolts commonly used in house bolting are epoxy foundation bolts and expansion foundation bolts.

If you live in an older home, an epoxy-set foundation bolt will be your best option. Older homes tend to have weaker concrete. Epoxy bolts are longer than expansion foundation bolts, which means they must be inserted deeper into the concrete. The deeper insertion improves the bolt’s performance.

Epoxy bolts are also a good choice in locations where the motion of a quake can lift up the structure. Because of the length of the bold, the chances of the wood frame pulling away from the concrete foundation is reduced.

Expansion foundation bolts are best used with foundation concrete that is in good shape, such as concrete in a new home or a new foundation in an older home. This is because the bolt requires “strong concrete” to be effective. The bolts can be used as long as they don’t crack the concrete.
Anchor bolts need to be installed with square plate washers. The washers create a sturdier and more secure connection to the foundation. Before square plate washers came into use, the bolts were secured with round washers. However, round washers did not have enough holding strength.

Sometimes other types of anchors may be necessary, depending on whether or not the home has cripple walls. Homes can also have a combination of cripple walls and places where the floor rests on the foundation.

To find out if your house needs bolting, go down into your home’s crawl space. The crawl space is the area between the foundation and the first floor. Find the sill plate, which is the board located on top of the foundation. Most but not all sill plates are made of lumber. The board runs horizontal to the vertical wall.

Inspect the sill plate for the head of anchor bolts. In most cases they will appear every four to six feet.
Many homes built during and after the late 1930’s will have some form of house bolting (Los Angeles and other earthquake-prone cities especially). Check to see if any existing bolts have become weak, or are set to far apart to provide the support needed in a quake.

Any work that gets done to strengthen the structure of your home needs to meet current standards. A foundation repair expert or foundation contractor should be consulted to determine if any existing bolting needs to be replaced, and the extent of any new bolting that may be necessary.

Big Trees Inc. Prepares To Add 10 Acre Field Of Trees

New Field Represents Major Expansion for One of Largest Tree Nurseries in Seattle

Big Trees Inc., (http://bigtreesupply.com/) one of the largest tree transplant and tree nursery companies in the Seattle area, is preparing to plant an entirely new field of trees to propagate and share with their clients.

They are preparing 10 acres of land to accept new stock that will grow and be available in the coming years to beautify and provide privacy throughout the Seattle area.

Big Trees has a large field that they have farmed in the summers over the years with corn and other crops, but never attempted to plant with trees, as the field tends to hold water over the winter. This year they have made a large commitment to this field, to drain the areas that previously held on to the winter rains. They have hired a local commercial farming drainage expert to do what’s necessary, and the area will soon be laid out in new rows of excellent trees. Big Trees Inc. will be planting significant numbers of evergreens and deciduous specimens, taking into consideration what types of trees have been most popular over the years, as well as trees that are sometimes difficult to get from other sources.

The project is going very well, with the drainage work currently underway, and the row spacing and access roads to be arranged in the coming weeks. Then it will be time to receive the incoming smaller stock, which will be planted and cared for so those trees grow into strong additions to their landscaping repertoire.

Nancy Penrose, owner of Big Trees says, “This is a significant reclamation of a space we have been meaning to cultivate for a long time now. It’s so exciting to be in this stage of the process, and we can’t wait to walk through the rows of trees and watch them grow over the coming years!”

WESTMINSTER, CO: Dr. Kenneth Polke, (http://americandentalexcellence.com), founder of American Dental Excellence in Westminster, CO, is now a member of the teaching staff for Rocky Mountain Sedation (http://rockymountainsedation.com/), an organization that trains dentists on how to use sedation in their dental practices. Dr. Polke now handles these teaching chores in addition to running his busy dental practice.

Rocky Mountain Sedation is considered to be one of the top facilities in the country for training in IV sedation because they are the only one that has two board-certified anesthesiologists on staff.

Dental Sedation is used for people who have extreme fear or anxiety of dental procedures, to help them relax and be comfortable during their dental work. There are two types of sedation taught by Dr. Polke through Rocky Mountain Sedation’s program and they are: Oral Sedation, in which you take a pill about an hour before the procedure (the level of sedation will vary from minimal to moderate, depending on the dose given), and IV Sedation which is delivered intravenously, making it go into effect much faster (the level of sedation can be continually adjusted by the dentist as needed).

Regardless of which type of sedation is used, a local anesthetic would also need to be used if the procedure causes discomfort or pain.

The comprehensive course includes 60 hours of classroom training and 20 hours of clinical training, which can be done at American Dental Excellence under the supervision of Dr. Polke. When trainees complete the IV sedation program, they receive a certificate of completion which they can take to their state dental board and get a certification to perform sedation dentistry.

AmericanDentalExcellence.com: Maintaining Your Smile And Oral Health With Dental Implants

by Dr. Kenneth Polke

The loss of a tooth can have many consequences. In addition to affecting your appearance, remaining teeth can shift to close the gap left by the missing tooth. Your teeth can also become weaker because there are less teeth to use when eating. Tooth loss can also cause chewing difficulties, jaw problems and bone loss.

The bones that surround your teeth need to be stimulated in order to maintain their shape and density. This stimulation comes from your teeth. When you lose a tooth, the decrease in stimulation causes the bone to decrease in height and width.

The more teeth that are lost, the more oral problems you will have. Dental implants are one of the best ways to prevent these issues from occurring. A dental implant is a method of tooth replacement.

First, a small screw made of titanium (a lightweight, extremely strong metal that is corrosion-resistant) is placed into the jawbone. The screw becomes the roots for the new tooth.

Once implanted, the jawbone and screw fuse together. This stabilizes the area and prevents bone loss. The implant also keeps the jawbone’s shape and density intact, which supports other facial bones as well as the gums, cheeks and lips. The fusion process can take from two to six months to complete.

An abutment is also attached to hold the dental crown in place. Crowns are the parts of teeth that you see in a mouth. The dental crown used in a dental implant will be customized to match your other teeth. To keep it in place, the crown will either be cemented or screwed into the abutment.

When there is an inadequate amount of bone for the posts (or the bone is too soft) another surgical procedure called “bone grafting” may be necessary. Bone grafting involves the placement of new bone tissue in the implant area, where it regenerates.

Anyone who has lost a tooth is usually a good candidate for dental implants. However, there are certain health conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes that can prevent the screws from fusing with the bone. Smoking, alcoholism and advanced gum disease can also inhibit fusing.

If you have lost a tooth and are considering an implant, your dentist (family dentist broomfield co) will conduct an assessment to determine if the procedure is right for you. Special x-rays, including in some cases 3D scans, will also be needed to determine the best location and position for the screws.
The dentist you choose (Westminster dentist) will need information on your health and medical history, as well as any medications you are currently taking.

Your Implant will look just like your natural teeth and even feel the same. They are taken care of like regular teeth with brushing and flossing. When you visit your dentist for a checkup, the implant will be cleaned with special instruments. If your dental implant becomes damaged, the crown can be removed and replaced. Unlike regular teeth, dental implants will not decay or require a root canal.

A dental implant will enable you to eat and chew normally, and smile with confidence. They also have the highest success rate of any type of implanted surgical device.

Leaving Mold Growing in a Home Can be Hazardous

FEMA and Other Organizations are Warning Building Owners about Mold Infestations

LOS ANGELES, CA: Building Cleaning Services, (http://buildingcleaningservices.net/) a Los Angeles mold remediation and building cleaning company, has been helping building owners combat Los Angeles mold infestation for over 10 years. Data from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shows why mold must not be allowed to grow to hazardous levels. Other organizations which have spoken about the dangers of mold infestation include the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Occupational and Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

FEMA’s report “Mold and Mildew in your Flood-Damaged Home” states: “Mildew and molds are fungi - simple microscopic organisms that thrive anywhere there is a moist environment. Molds are a necessary part of the environment; without them, leaves would not decay and aspects of soil enrichment could not take place. It is their ability to destroy organic materials, however, that makes mold a problem for people - in our homes and in our bodies...Mold growths, or colonies, can start to grow on a damp surface within 24 to 48 hours. They reproduce by spores - tiny, lightweight ‘seeds’ - that travel through the air. Molds digest organic material, eventually destroying the material they grow on, and then spread to destroy adjacent organic material. In addition to the damage molds can cause in your home, they can also cause mild to severe health problems.”

Due to the dangers of excessive mold exposure and the speed at which mold infestations can spread indoors, Building Cleaning Services, is the “go-to” company in Los Angeles to ensure a fast and professional mold remediation job. Visible mold when there is water damage must be handled immediately. Some of the symptoms of mold can be found on Building Cleaning Services website: http://buildingcleaningservices.net/mold-removal/

Building Cleaning Services has helped many building owners fully address Los Angeles mold problems. One of their clients stated: “We used a separate inspection company who referred us to BCS, among other mold remediation services. We got quotes from three remediation services and Sheldon from BCS was by far more thorough and helpful. We had mold in the kitchen and bathroom and the original inspection company provided suggestions for remediation. When Sheldon came by to give us an estimate he actually helped save us some money by suggesting some less costly (but equally effective) alternatives for remediation. BCS's crew came in and took care of the mold and passed the post-remediation inspection with flying colors. We would definitely use BCS if we have mold problems again.”
