Julian Construction Offers Foundation Underpinning Services

Foundation Repair Process Strengthens and Stabilizes Foundations

LOS ANGELES – Julian Construction, a Los Angeles based construction company that specializes in foundation repair and construction, today announced the availability of foundation underpinning services to stabilize building foundations and support second-story home additions.

Underpinning is a highly specialized construction tecnhnique that requires either professional engineering or architectural design ,”says Julian De La Torre, founder of Julian Construction. “Our underpinning services cover the entire process, from planning to completing the repair.”

Underpinning involves increasing the depth or width of a building’s foundation by removing the soil beneath or to the side of the foundation, and replacing it with foundation material. It is used to strengthen a building’s existing foundation when a second-story has been added, or other modifications have taken place that effect wall load capacities. The technique also addresses and resolves problems associated with foundation settlement. Because of the many technical aspects of the process and to avoid further foundation damage, underpinning requires professional planning and execution.

Tickets Available from Al Brooks Tickets for Touring Production of “West Side Story”

Tickets are still available from Al Brooks Tickets (www.albrooks.com) for the “West Side Story” tour that begins at The Fisher Theater inWest Side Story Detroit on September 30th, and comes to the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles on November 30th.

The revival of the ground-breaking Arthur Laurents-Leonard Bernstein-Stephen Sondheim musical “West Side Story” officially opened on Broadway on March 19th.

West Side Story” is the tale of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet brought to the turbulent streets of the Upper West Side in 1950's New York City. Two star-crossed lovers, Tony and Maria, find themselves caught between the rival street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds, the 'Jets' and the 'Sharks.' According to the show’s producers, their struggle to exist together in a world of violence, hate and prejudice “is one of the most heart-breaking, relevant and innovative musical masterpieces of our time."

This staging of “West Side Story” introduces the unprecedented element of selectively weaving Spanish throughout both the book and songs. Both "I Feel Pretty" (sung by Maria) and "A Boy Like That" (sung by Anita) are delivered entirely in Spanish.

The touring cast off the smash hit revival includes Kyle Harris as Tony, Ali Ewoldt as Maria, Michelle Aravena as Anita, Joseph J. Simeone as Riff and German Santiago as Bernardo.

The production features scenic designs by James Youmans (Gypsy), costumes by Tony Award nominee David C. Aero & Marine Tax Professionals Obtains Sales Tax Exemption for Tahoe Cruise Owner

Lake Tahoe Yacht Charter Owner Gets Sales Tax Exemption for Yacht Purchase72ft charter boat

SACRAMENTO, CA: Aero & Marine Tax Professionals (http://www.aeromarinetaxpros.com) has obtained a sales and use tax exemption from the California Board of Equalization for their client, Tony G., in regards to his purchase of a yacht.

Aero & Marine Tax Professionals are the pre-eminent experts in helping purchasers of aircraft and vessels to avoid paying sales and use tax in California.

Tony G. purchased the yacht, a 72-foot Sunseeker originally used as a yacht charter in the Bahamas, then had to transport it by road to Lake Tahoe. He also had to modify the yacht, removing the flying bridge, in order to allow it to fit under all the bridges on Lake Tahoe. Another part of the planning process involved the tax issues. At $1.35 million, the yacht was not a big boat but also a lot of sales tax for the California Board of Equalization.

Tony G. said, “As an aircraft owner, I was aware of the specialized service provided by Aero & Marine Tax Professionals. With some $108,000 at stake, Aero & Marine was one of my first calls. They took care of the whole process, and we gained our exemption in six months. If only there was someone like that who could have taken care of the bureaucracy involved in getting the boat to Tahoe.”

Thomas Alston, President of Aero & Marine Tax Professionals, stated “Despite the current financial crisis, the opportunities in the personal and business aircraft sector for tax savings is expanding. We have the knowledge, experience and expertise to help purchasers of aircraft in California to legally avoid paying yacht tax.”

Aero & Marine Tax Professionals shows purchasers how to avoid sales tax, specifically how to avoid aircraft tax and yacht tax in California and to make certain the full value of their next aircraft, vehicle or vessel goes into their pocket--not the government's. They have successfully filed hundreds of tax returns with the California State Board of Equalization. Mr. Alston has also published many articles on sales and use tax.

Aero & Marine Tax Professionals Obtains Sales Tax Exemption for San Diego Business Owner

San Diego Meat Processing Plant Owner Gets Sales Tax Exemption for Yacht Saleboat cruising

SACRAMENTO, CA: Aero & Marine Tax Professionals (http://www.aeromarinetaxpros.com) has obtained a sales and use tax exemption from the California Board of Equalization for their client, Rob J., in regards to his sale of a yacht.

Aero & Marine Tax Professionals are the pre-eminent experts in helping purchasers of aircraft and vessels to avoid paying sales and use tax in California.

Rob J., who runs a large, state-of-the-art meat processing facility in Vista, California, with markets across the United States and overseas, explains that he ran into trouble with the California Board of Equalization five years after he sold a Mikelson yacht.

I had no problems at all until after I’d sold the Mikelson to focus on business and family. It was then, about five years after the purchase, that the California Board of Equalization told me I had not qualified for a Sales and Use tax exemption. They were billing me $31,000 for a boat I’d already sold! On the advice of the broker, I’d organized offshore delivery in Mexican waters, and left it there for a 90 day period. Even though I thought I’d covered all the bases, it just wasn’t working with the tax people. They disputed the delivery information; it was an argument I just couldn’t win. Eventually I called Mikelson company itself and explained the dilemma. Who did they recommend to get me out of the situation? There was no hesitation: they said Aero & Marine are the best.”

Tom Alston, president of Aero & Marine Tax Professionals, is familiar with Rob’s case. “This kind of slip-up happens more often than you’d think. That’s why we look after everything, right down to the smallest detail. In Rob’s case, it turned out to be a real simple thing, too. The company that did the delivery in Mexican waters had used the wrong form. That was it! We were able to get the paperwork right and fix the problem. Zero tax was payable.”

Today, Rob is thinking about Mikelson again. “You know,” he smiles, “Mikelson’s coming out with a 57 footer. If I do decide to go for it, Mikelson will be my first call. The second will be to Aero & Marine.”
