2010 World Series Tickets Available from Al Brooks Tickets

LOS ANGELES-Baseball game tickets to the 2010 World Series can be purchased from Al Brooks Tickets (www.albrooks.com). The Major League Baseball final between the National League and the American League is expected to start on October 27th.

During this year’s series, the winner of the American League’s New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers championship series will play against the winner of the National League’s championship series, either the Philadelphia Phillies or San Francisco Giants.

The World Series, which started in 1903, is a best-of-seven playoff. It is the culmination of 162 regular season games, followed by National League and American League playoffs. League winners play against each other during the World Series, which is also known as the Fall Classic. The Commissioner’s Trophy is awarded to the winning team, and championship rings are presented to each player.

The New York Yankees have won 27 World Series championships (including last year) and 40 American League pennants. Famous Yankee players include Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Joe DiMaggio.

The Texas Rangers franchise was founded in 1961 as the Washington Senators. They have never won a league championship and have never played in the World Series.

The Philadelphia’s Phillies are professional sport’s oldest, continuous one-name, one-city team. The franchise has won two World Series championships and seven National League pennants.

The San Francisco Giants have won more games than any other team in baseball. The franchise was founded in New York, where the team won five World Series championships and seventeen pennants. They have not won a World Series championship since 1954.

The National League won the All-Star game in July, and will have home field advantage for the 2010 World Series.
